Module 2

Module 2 of the book was more interesting to me than the first. Email is something that I have been somewhat familiar with for over half my life. I have had an email address since I was ten years old, though I have never had reason to use it often. Most of the time that I used it was signing up for online games or newsletters, which would then cause my inbox to be cluttered with emails that I didn’t care much about.

I still don’t think much about one of the email addresses that I have and I’ve allowed it to be so cluttered that I’ve just about given up on getting it cleaned. So, it was interesting to read about filters for emails. Never thought that you could have an incoming email filtered into certain categories automatically like that. It is something that I’ll be looking into implementing now, hopefully that will help me clean up my inbox a bit.

I have had to write emails a few times in a more professional sense. Because of that, I knew about salutations when writing an email. I never thought about writing a signature much since all I have is my name to use for one. Instead, I tend to include my name in the body of an email. I’ll be trying to change that so my emails look more professional when needed.
