Summary

Module 6

Module 6 was about security when dealing with anything that connects to the internet such as using websites, apps that need to connect to the internet, emails, and more. I did like this chapter quite a lot. Online security has been a thing that I’ve had issues with for quite a long time given when I started doing things like playing games online. For instance, there was an online game that my brother and I tried to play when we were little but, after installing it, our computer would always run slower, so we uninstalled it twice. I’ve also had it be where I could not get onto my computer because a pop-up would show that’d demand I pay money for something. Now I’m older and I had to take another application off my computer recently because running it made me unable to access the other files located in that same drive.

So, while I like to think that I know how to keep myself out of trouble, security-wise, with my pc or tablet, there are different things that happen which still give me cause for alarm. It might be beneficial for me to use Norton like my father does, but I found it to be aggressive when I was writing programs for classes, and it would delete them.

This is a chapter that I’m going to read through again. I understand the topics that it brought up well and I just enjoyed the chapter. Online security is an important matter, in my opinion, especially in this day and age.
