Summary
Module 4
Module 4 of the book is on the subject of information resources on the Web.
The module goes over different ways to search for resources and how to refine those search methods to fit your needs.
The chapter also goes over different types of resources that can be found online from periodicals to video files.
The book also goes over how to reference these resources without plagiarizing.
Given that this is a college course, the subject of plagiarism and citing resources is an important one.
I do think that it can be confusing.
I’ve had to cite papers in both APA and MLA format a number of times and there has not been a single time where I’ve not looked up guides for the formatting.
Because this is a college course and I’ve taken a lot of courses, I cannot say that I’ve learned much from this chapter.
Online libraries are a resource that I have used before.
Last week I used an online library to find references to practice drawing.
I was surprised that I found books related to movies that released within the last few years.
The online library also had recordings of movies that are rather old which I did find interesting to see.
I’ve also found some audio files online.
When I listen to audio files, they are usually old radio shows.
Otherwise, there is some music that I listen to online of course.
